About Lynda Goldman
I never thought about being a writer. In fact, I wanted to be an artist. But, finding it difficult to make a living by painting, I
started teaching.
One day a colleague asked me to co-author an educational textbook. I never dreamed it would lead to writing 30
books. Or speeches for executives. Or web copy. Or articles for sales magazines and the Reader's Digest.
Then in 1996, working with graduating college students, we realized that something was missing.
For students entering the job market there was a big gap between the backpack and the briefcase.
I quickly realized that college students weren't the only ones uncertain about how to present a
polished, professional image.
Sales professionals, entrepreneurs, small business owners, and people
climbing the career ladder all need to make a powerful, winning first impression. Connecting and building relationships is vital to everyone
in business.
